More than 65 percent of the recognition procedures for foreign professional qualifications obtained in EU member states end with a full equivalence. The positive recognition rate for Austria and the Czech Republic is the highest as it reaches 93 percent. It is followed by the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary, Lithuania, and Latvia. More than 60 percent of the applicants, who were trained in Tunisia, Mexico, and the former Serbia (incl. Kosovo) received ruling with a compensatory measure, the completion of which was open at the end of the reporting year. Albania, Brazil, Philippines, and Libya follow close behind. The vocational qualifications from Spain, Kazakhstan and Morocco have been decided on the basis of partial equivalence in above 20 percent of the cases.

A vast number of applications come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia, followed by Philippines and Syria. Compared to the previous year, the number of Syrian professional qualifications applications has fallen slightly, while there has been a significant increase in applications from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Philippines, Albania, and especially, Serbia. There is also a high number of completed recognition procedures for Romania, Ukraine, Tunisia, and India.
